Africa Celebrates is a PanAfrican event that has the mission to celebrate Africa’s unity in diversity through the promotion of art, culture, heritage, tourism, innovation, technology, and business as catalysts for economic, social, and regional integration
The 2025 Theme:
In line with the 2025 theme of the African Union, the theme for Africa Celebrates 2025 is “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through and Beyond Reparations” #beyondreparations.
The Africa Celebrates concept is based on a reverse reparation mechanism that inspires an exodus of people of African descent to accelerate justice, recognition, and economic development programs for the next generation of Africans through a back-to-Africa investment strategy. The goal is to rethink the socioeconomic reparation construct by leveraging the economic reparation of human and investment capital of people of African descent back to the continent.
It is to deploy a diaspora resource mobilization strategy that will drive investment marketplace opportunities to accelerate art, culture, heritage, the creative economy, digital economy, tourism, and the green and blue economy.
Aims and objectives:
- To celebrate Africa’s unity in diversity by encouraging economic, social, and regional integration of Africa through promoting intra-Africa’s art, culture, heritage, trade, investment, science, and technology transfers, which can be explored as a catalyst for realizing a prosperous Africa.
- To encourage Africans and the rest of the world to patronize ‘Made in Africa’ by eating African food, wearing African clothes, watching African films, appreciating African arts, crafts, music, dance, and other African products and services.
- And to promote intra-African tourism to support and empower women and youths in creating wealth.
- And to promote intra Africa tourism with the goal of supporting and empowering women and youths in creating wealth.
DRESS CODE
Guests attending the opening ceremony, cultural night and the gala fashion and awards night are encouraged to wear African attires. This is an opportunity to promote the rich and diversified African dress culture.
One of the major goals of Africa Celebrates is to celebrate Africa’s unity in diversity through integration. It is a platform for Africans in the diaspora and people of African descent to reconnect with their brothers and sisters in the continent. Africa Celebrates is an open invitation back to the motherland.
