PACCI held a meeting with the CEO of African Union Development Agency – NEPAD Mrs. Nardos Bekele – Thomas.

The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) is a socio-economic flagship Programme of the African Union (AU). NEPAD’s four primary objectives are to eradicate poverty, promote sustainable growth and development, integrate Africa in the world economy and accelerate the empowerment of women.

The mandate of AUDA-NEPAD is to: a) Coordinate and Execute priority regional and continental projects to promote regional integration towards the accelerated realisation of Agenda 2063; and b) Strengthen capacity of African Union Member States and regional bodies, advance knowledge-based advisory support, undertake the full range of resource mobilisation and serve as the continent’s technical interface with all Africa’s development stakeholders and development partners.

PACCI and NEPAD have began working on collbaorative frameworks to bolster the private sectors engagement in Regional integration. This is to pipeline implementation of the AfCFTA and overall Agenda 2063.
